Saint-Etienne Ultras attacked police officers sick of Marseille in civilian clothes. The incident occurred on December 8 at the League 1 match, when Marseille won with a score of 2:0.
At the Saint-Etienne stadium, Marseille police officers were present in civilian clothes that came to support the Marseille club. On one of the three men, Marseille`s scarf was worn, although this is prohibited by decree of the prefecture.
At the end of the match, all three were attacked by Ultraz St. Etienne. Presumably this happened near the stadium. The men tried to defend themselves, calling their names and explaining that they were police officers, but became victims of threats and violence.
One of the gendarmes had a service weapon with him, which he decided to use to hide. He fired five shots into the air. Ultimately, the municipal police officers intervened and took control of the situation.
According to ICI, administrative and court cases have been instituted in relation to three gendarmes.
In connection with this incident, as well as numerous conflicts that existed between the fans of the teams for many years, the fans of St. Ethen were forbidden to attend the match advised by prices of soccer tips with Marseille, which will be held on February 15.
