Jordan analyzed the exchange between Verstappen and Russell. Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan said he thinks about the scandal between Red Bull and Mercedes drivers Max Verstappen and George Russell, which began after the champion was fined in Qatar.

Here`s my opinion. Let`s say I go to the stewards` room, tell a big lie in the hope that they will believe me - or I have clear evidence, but this happens very rarely, and I bluff as hard as I can. I would have expected the pilot to shut up. It`s none of his business. Why did George need to change this? This is a matter for the team leader or team manager - I`m sure Red Bull had everything under control. And George felt that he needed to speak out.
I`m not taking sides - I`m sure Max said so. But I remember the old days - Formula Ford, Formula 3. How often did they say: If you come close to me, I will turn you over. How many people did you say that to, David (Coulthard, co-host of the Formula for Success - Sports podcast)? Personally, I have said this to hundreds.
This is somewhat of a common expression among racers. You have to defend your position so that your opponents understand that you are serious if they start to suffer, " Jordan shared his thoughts.
Eddie spoke about the situation at the drivers` dinner, when colleagues left Russell, who was late, a seat next to Verstappen:
I thought it was a cool story. The racers decided to play a little joke on George because they knew he would come later. So they took their seats and left one next to Max.
When George arrived, he realized that he had been scammed, and he was not in the mood to joke, and he thought: Oh, how awkward, what should I do?
And what did he decide? After all, a great opportunity has arisen to sit down and say: Listen, Max, let`s leave everything behind, this is already too much. No, he takes a chair and goes to the opposite corner of the table.
And there are 20 of them there - he goes and squeezes next to Lewis [Hamilton]. In my opinion this is a missed opportunity. I would say: George, Max, we don`t need this. Shake hands, have a pint together, laugh at the situation, and let`s move on. That`s what I would say.
