The new format of the All-Star Game has become known. The new four-team 2025 NBA All-Star Tournament format is expected to feature two best-of-40 semifinal games, the winners of which will then play in a best-of-25 final, sources tell ESPN.
Last week it was reported that the NBA was in serious discussions about a new format for the 2025 All-Star Game, which would feature three all-star teams of eight players each and the winning team from the Rising Stars Game.
League officials discussed the new format Friday with the competition committee, made up of owners, team managers, players, coaches and union officials.
Star Weekend 2025 will be hosted by the Golden State.
