Soccer tips Gareth Bale led Tottenham to the semifinals

Gareth Bale scored his third goal since returning to Tottenham, and the Londoners qualified for the semi-finals of the League Cup. Jose Mourinho`s team won 3-1 away to second division Stoke City. The Spurs dominated seriously in the first half, but withdrew at the break with only one goal lead. Home goalkeeper Andy Lonergan stopped Dele Ali twice and Harry Kane once. Bale opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after a nice header. Stoke looked different at the beginning of the second half and with his first kick in the door line he equalized. Jordan Thompson was the scorer.




Mourinho was getting nervous about the development of the match prediction by soccer livescores when a great shot by Ben Davis brought the guests forward again in the 70th minute. Harry Kane scored the third goal in Stoke`s goal. Tottenham are two wins from the first trophy of 2008 13 months after Mourinho`s arrival. The Portuguese has won the League Cup four times - twice with Chelsea and once with Man United.
