Taylor Fritz beat Alexander Zverev surprisingly with 7:6 (7), 6:4 in the first round of the Basel Indoor Tennis Tournament. It was the third meeting between them in Switzerland and the first success in favor of the American, who won for the fourth time this year against a top 10 tennis player in the world. The two recorded 41 points in the first set, and Zverev pulled 4-0 in the tiebreaker. However, the American struggled to even out and even led by 6:5 after a nice reflex and impressive will, but the result was again leveled to 7:7.
